WHAT IS NEXT?
PictureMegan as Sleeping Beauty
Donally's Doll House and Toy Museum is working hard to get our galleries open for you to view:  Next up I will be adding sections for the Magic Attic Club dolls for your viewing pleasure.  This collection has been curated and collected by my mother, Donna Donally, over the last decade or so and is about 95% complete.  The collection includes some rare and hard-to-find pieces, including outfits from the original test catalogue from 1994, convention dolls, and some hard-to-find Disney exclusives, club exclusives, and items made for girls.  Follow and like us on Facebook, Instagram or both to get notified when this section is opened for viewing.

In addition to building the Magic Attic Club gallery, I will begin building the catalog section.  This section of the museum will house catalogs that were available from the doll manufacturers and now sometimes the only way to identify older dolls, their outfits, and accessories.  I have been a fan of the Vogue Ginny dolls my entire life and have decided that the first catalog section will be from the Vogue Doll Company.  Items in this collection include copies of original box inserts and promotional materials from the 1950s, advertisements from Lesney in the 1970s and Vogue doll catalogs from the 1980s that continue to the last catalog issued in the late 2000s.  I am very excited to begin building this section and to share these materials with all of you.

UNFORSEEN TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES
Currently, I am the sole developer, photographer, and designer for Donally's Doll House and Toy Museum's website.  When I started, I had no idea that the format I chose would be so time consuming, but it is the format that I envisioned and hopefully as I continue working, I will get into my groove, as they say.  This website is truly a labor of love!

In addition, I had purchased a program that would allow me to present you with an interactive virtual experience.  I recently discovered that instead of sending me the program I paid for, I was sent a 10-day free trial instead of the actual licensed product I purchased.  It appears that shortly after my purchases, the company split and is no longer conducting business.  Needless to say, I am searching for a software company that can deliver a similar interactive experience that I can partner with to enhance your virtual experience.
MUSEUM STATUS
Currently, Donally's Doll House and Toy Museum is preparing to file for non-profit status. As our collections keep growing, we are hoping to be able to begin to search for a permanent location that you all can come visit be early next spring.  We will also begin working with the American Alliance of Museums to develop core documents and work toward accreditation.

At this time, we are pleased to announce that Donally's Doll House and Toy Museum is a proud member of:

The American Alliance of Museums, and
The Michigan Museums Association

We will keep you all up to date on our progress as we work toward becoming a full service, brick and mortar museum.
