Object Type: Doll
Title: Megan Stock No. Web Category: Magic Attic Club Manufacturer: Marian, LLC Date: 2003 Material: Vinyl body with wigged or rooted hair Object Id: In October 2001, Knickerbocker was purchased by Brian Blosil, husband to singer and doll designer Marie Osmond. Marie and her husband combined their names to form the new company, Marian, LLC. Marian debuted the new Magic Attic (dropping Club from the name) dolls in 2003. |
Under Marian, the dolls saw many changes: Megan received a new face sculpt, the dolls received bellybuttons and slighted changed hands, their hair was changed from quality kanekalon wigs to rooted saran, back to a wig. Chole was dropped from the line and Rose's name was changed to Rosa and her heritage was changed to Hispanic.
It is unclear why, but Megan received a new face sculpt from Marian. She looks lovely, too bad Marian moved to cheaper wigs that frizzed out easily. Marian's Megan is dressed in a grey woollike skirt with matching shoes and white tights, along with a light gold top underneath - note the slight ruffle at the neck. Megan is also sporting a lovely gold knitted zip-up sweater with fringed collar and cuffs. |
