Pictured below is a 1959 American Character Toni doll wearing the Bride outfit. The wedding gown is a cowl neck satin and taffeta dress with nylon tricot ruffles, a large satin bow, lace and tule veil, flower bouquet, headpiece, stockings and shoes. Note that only the 1958 version of the dress has the large satin bow.
Over the years since the Ideal Toni doll was first introduced in 1949, many doll companies including American Character and Robert Tonner Doll have produced Toni dolls. Toni dolls are considered advertisement dolls for the Toni Home Permanent. |
