This is a lovely No. 3 Ponytail Barbie modeling the Bride's Dream Fashion. This fashion was produced by Mattel from 1963-1965 and is the second wedding gown in her collection. The dress is made of white satin with a front panel of tiered ruffled chiffon.
Accessories included with the dress are a tulle veil with a "pearl" headpiece, open toe white heals, a blue garter, fabric flowers, a graduated pearl necklace, and long elbow length gloves. Barbie was first introduced by Mattel in 1959 wearing a black and white one-piece swimsuit, black heals and carrying a pair of white sunglasses. For over 65 year she has reigned as the doll world fashion queen.
