Jill was introduced by Vogue Dolls as Ginny's big sister in 1957 and produced until 1963 with a brief revival in 1965. Ginny was introduced by Vogue Dolls in 1951 until the company sold to Tonka in 1972. A series of owners followed: Lesney Productions Corporation (1977-1982), Meritus Industries (1984-1985), and R. Dakin and Company (1986-1995). Ginny was reunited with the Vogue Doll Company name in 1995 and produced until about 2011 when the company ceased production and closed. |
